Kiefer Sutherland – Love Will Bring You Home Tour 2026

Kiefer Sutherland Moves Confidently Between Rock, Americana, and Country in Cologne

On May 9, during the European leg of his 2026 tour, Kiefer Sutherland stopped in Cologne in support of his upcoming fourth album Grey, due out on May 29. His compact yet high-energy live set ignited the Live Music Hall, a well-known staple of Cologne’s local music scene. The roughly 1,200-strong crowd got a firsthand glimpse into the musical talent of the acclaimed actor-turned-musician.

The simple stage design — featuring a backdrop printed with tree branches and a vintage table lamp beside the drum kit — created a relaxed atmosphere, allowing the focus to remain entirely on the music.

A Raw Voice Backed by a Tight Band

Sutherland performed a diverse mix of Americana, country, and rock. Backed by seasoned musicians — a solid bass-and-drum rhythm section, a lead guitarist, and another multi-instrumentalist switching between guitar and pedal steel — the show radiated confidence while maintaining a grounded, natural feel.

For most of the performance, Sutherland played a Telecaster guitar, only setting it aside during the final few songs. The sound mix was top-notch: loud enough to deliver the impact expected from a rock concert, yet balanced enough to remain enjoyable throughout the evening.

The grit in Sutherland’s voice gave the songs weight and personality. Even during the heaviest riffs, his vocals remained clear and powerful, keeping the lyrics fully understandable throughout the set.

A Setlist Without a Weak Moment

Kiefer Sutherland stepped on stage precisely at 8 p.m. and kicked off the night with the energetic, rock-leaning “Down Below.” Without much pause, he launched straight into a rendition of Garbage’s “Only Happy When It Rains.”

After a short introduction, he presented “Goodbye California,” a new song from the upcoming album, which blended seamlessly into Sutherland’s established style.

“Something You Love,” a clear crowd favorite, followed next and quickly got the audience moving. Without wasting time on lengthy breaks, Sutherland continued with “Come Back Down,” another preview from the forthcoming album.

The set then shifted into cover territory once again with a spirited and heavy rendition of The Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t You See.” Without pause, Sutherland counted off “1, 2, 3” and launched into “Ole Lonely Life.”

A brief introduction followed for another new song, “American Farmer,” written in support of independent farmers struggling to survive in the era of mass commercial farming.

Later in the evening, Ozzy Osbourne’s “See You on the Other Side” received an Americana-inspired reinterpretation that fit naturally into the set. “Love Will Bring You Home,” another new track, followed before “Two Stepping in Time” reignited the audience.

The most country-flavored moment of the night came with “This Is How It’s Done,” which inspired several audience members to dance along.

A Heavier Turn Toward the End

“Down in a Hole” shifted the mood toward heavy blues-rock. Sutherland put down his guitar while both guitarists switched to Gibsons, trading extended solos throughout the song.

The same setup and heavier sound carried into “Friday Night.” The main set eventually wrapped up with the Tex-Mex-flavored “Agave.”

After several minutes of applause, the band returned for an encore that began with an atmospheric, progressive-rock-inspired extended guitar intro before launching into a reimagined version of Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight.” It was a surprising and risky choice, yet one that ultimately worked strongly in Sutherland’s favor.

The evening concluded with an extended version of “Starlight,” featuring a soaring arena-rock-style guitar solo that left the mostly middle-aged audience with an earworm for the drive home.

At just 85 minutes, the concert was compact but intensely energetic. Kiefer Sutherland and his musically strong band delivered a well-crafted, genuine, down-to-earth, and highly dynamic performance without a dull moment — leaving the audience with the unmistakable feeling of wanting him to return soon.
