Kupfergold – Eigenordet Tour 2026 on April 24, 2026 in Palladium, Köln.
The concert, advertised for 8 PM with doors opening at 6:30, was already in full swing by the time I arrived at the Palladium at 7:15, not sure how to interpret that. A three-piece band called The Trouble Notes was on stage, warming up the already packed crowd ahead of the main event. They did a solid job of setting the stage, with lengthy violin solos accompanied by acoustic guitar and drums. The violinist spoke a few times to the crowd in a mix of English and German, briefly promoting some t-shirts. The Trouble Notes are a Berlin-based progressive world-folk trio known for their high-energy, violin-led instrumental music. Their sound—often described as “Acoustic Dance Music”—is a pan-cultural fusion of folk roots, classical precision, and global grooves like gypsy, flamenco, and jazz.
After a short break led by frontwoman Bonnie Banks, Kupfergold took the stage for a 40-minute set that blended pop-rock with elements of medieval folk and modern Schlager. It was loud—perhaps a bit too loud—but the energy was infectious, and the crowd responded enthusiastically. The audience seemed to really appreciate the performance, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the set.
