Benjamin Steer is a rapidly rising British-American acoustic-pop and indie singer-songwriter based in Leicestershire, UK. Steer is known for his emotionally raw storytelling, highly melodic “stomp and holler” rhythms, and poignant lyrics about love, disillusionment, and adulthood. His songs explore the vulnerabilities of modern relationships, balancing the yearning of a hopeless romantic with the stark realities of app-based dating.

Currently he is touring with his Not-So0-Non-Chalant 2026 Tour.

After AC/DC Shoot To Thrill blasted from the speaker full volume, the band took stage. Benjamin Steer kicked off his set, backed by a drummer and guitarist, with the rolling rock song Be My Love, followed by the funky Trophy. Occasionally picking up both acoustic and electric guitar himself, Benjamin kept the night moving to the delight of the mostly Gen-Z female audience. Other noteworthy songs of the night included the stomp-and-holler tracks Miracle, Homesick, and Sinner, the upbeat You, and the acoustic ballad Judas. Muted Colours saw Ben perform acoustically from within the crowd. The set wrapped up with No One Wants To Die Alone, performed in both acoustic and full-band versions.

Both the opener and the headliner found strong support from the young audience that filled the room at Helios37.

Accreditation: Semmel Concerts.
