Most recently, the Hollywood Vampires thrilled in this country in 2023 with energetic live shows, as demonstrated by the 2023 concert recording “Live in Rio” (published by earMUSIC/Edel).

Since “Rise” from 2019, own compositions also find space in the varied live set, which is still peppered with some of the greatest rock classics such as “Heroes” (David Bowie), “Shool’s Out” (Alice Cooper), “Walk This Way” (Aerosmith) or “Baba O’ Riley” (The Who).

“In the beginning, we were interested in honoring our drunken friends who died in the seventies: Jimi Hendrix, John Bonham, Jim Morrison and all the others,” revealed Alice Cooper in an interview. “That’s why we put together a pub band in 2015.” Hollywood Vampires was the name of a celebrity drinking club in Los Angeles that Cooper co-founded in the 1970s.

In 2015, “Hollywood Vampires” was the first work of the rock supergroup, in which Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Slash, Brian Johnson and Zak Starkey were also involved. Since then, the aforementioned longlayer “Rise” (2019) and “Live in Rio” (2023) have been published.

Hollywood Vampires is an American rock supergroup formed in 2012 by rock legend Alice Cooper, actor Johnny Depp, and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry. The band was created to honor the music of rock stars who died from excess in the 1970s. The name is a tribute to the original “Hollywood Vampires,” a celebrity drinking club formed by Cooper in the 1970s at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Los Angeles
