Celestielle opening for Faetooth at Gebäude 9

Celestielle is an independent, one-woman blackened doom metal project from Frankfurt, Germany, created by multi-instrumentalist and composer Michelle Fallmann. The musical project blends the aggressive intensity of black metal with the heavy, slow tempo of doom metal, overlaying the instrumentation with eerie, liturgical clean choir vocals. The project’s narrative focuses heavily on feminism, empowerment, vengeance, and the daily struggles of womanhood. It weaves together a dark atmosphere utilizing imagery of horror, nature, mysticism, and religious melodies. Fallmann writes, performs, and produces nearly all the music herself, primarily collaborating with outside talent for drums, mixing, and mastering.  Celestially took stage backed by two guitar players and bass-drums rhythm section. The 30 minute set found good connection with the audience.
