Lionheart of Oakland, California is known for their aggressive sound. A hardcore punk-rooted metalcore with musical elements of beatdown hardcore and two-step garage.
For the stage reset they covered the front with a huge textile banner printed with their logo. Standing by the pit I could see through the crack between the edge of the banner and the front PA, the crew and the band had few bottles of whisky and beer on the table. There was this guy, a bottle of beer in one hand, a bottle of whisky in the other, one sip from the left one sip from the right, repeat. It’s going to be fun. The vail fell to the ground, the security hauled it out, an Lionheart hit the chords. Basically they picked it up from where Madball left it off and continued to hammer the audience with heavy sound.
