The album is an example of the ‘Canadian sound’ influence, what I cannot even explain, even if Steve Poltz is a resident of USA. For further examples of this sound see Neil Young, The Bros. Landreth, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Big Sugar or even The Band. A great album for those interested in listening singer-songwriter stuff off the mainstream.
