Samurai Pizza Cats is a German metalcore band from Castrop-Rauxel, formed in 2021. Their name is a tribute to the 1990s anime series of the same name. The band is known for a high-energy “CatCore” style that blends metalcore, deathcore, and trancecore elements with a humorous, often pizza-themed aesthetic. Samurai Pizza Fest: The band launched their own festival, with the debut event held on March 28, 2026, at the Live Music Hall in Cologne. While the three openers were on time, there was a substantial time gap until the Samurai Pizza Cats finally hit the stage at 10:00 PM.
