Håndgemeng – European Album Tour 2026 in Gebäude9, Köln.
Opening the night for Spidergawd, Håndgemeng owned the stage with a 30-minute set of tough, headbanging heavy metal. The band describes their sound as “doom and roll,” blending occult-tinged themes with thick, riff-driven songwriting. While the production and overall sound feel modern, their guitar work is clearly rooted in the era of hair rock, creating a mix that draws from the best of both worlds. Crunchy riffs, driving rhythms and a confident stage presence quickly warmed up the crowd. Rather than relying on a single formula, the songs offered a refreshing variety. Tempo changes, shifting grooves and different riff styles kept the set engaging throughout, proving that the band’s approach to heavy metal goes beyond simple nostalgia.
