Ensiferum, a dynamic Finnish death/power/folk-metal group, draws lyrical inspiration from Viking lore. The band’s name, derived from the Latin word for “sword-bearing,” reflects their epic themes. With a keen melodic sense, diverse instrumentation, and a fiery dual vocal attack (clean and harsh), Ensiferum quickly rose to prominence in the Viking metal scene. They released nine studio albums up to date.
