Amy Macdonald live at Palladium in Köln in a sold out show, roughly 4,500 audience.
Amy Macdonald is on my playlist since her first album ‘This Is The Life’ 2007. She has steadily grown into a European major artist, although in North America she just managed to create a niche following audience. The band hit the stage at 8 PM and the show wrapped at 9:30, a pretty unusually early time to end a concert. In the 90 minutes she managed to grind through 20 songs. No fillers, Amy has enuf great songs up in her sleeves to chose from. Live she was somewhat more rock-y especially Poison Prince, probably there are more guitars in the mix. The stage lights were pretty good as well as the sound, which was loud enough, but still enjoyable even without earplugs. Not much stage movement, everybody pegged to their spot, inclusive Amy and just play. Reminded me of Clapton who will not take up more than 3×3 feet on stage.
