The Gardener & The Tree – Sole Tour

Few genres have the strength to provide goosebumps as reliably as rampant indient indie folk. The Swiss band The Gardener & The Tree has been serving the genre with the greatest dedication since its founding in 2013 and has been providing highly emotional moments, especially on the live stage for over ten years.

It all started with the two friends Manuel Felder (vocals) and Patrik Muggli (former guitarist), who were in the car

each other’s amateurish recordings and then decided without further ado to try it together with the music. Under the name The Gardener & The Tree, the two begin to work on their indie folk design with four other founding members and have their first songs in stock in no time. It was quickly clear that the all-ey, throasy voice of Felder has a recognition value and is pleasing, because the first project has already held a proud three weeks in the Swiss charts. Just one year after the band was founded, the debut EP “Revolution” was released, which included songs such as “mama’s guitar” or “waterfall”, which are still considered important tracks in the discography of the band from Schaffhausen. In the following years it continued industriously: The Gardener & The Tree have released a total of three EPs and two albums in the past 12 years – and in July of this year a new work will follow, the EP “SOLE”.

From bittersweet ballads to energetic indie pop sing-alongs, the work covers all the facets that The Gardener & The Tree have developed in their previous discography. The tracks already released range from the highly emotional “kingdom far” to the solemn, pop “(fuck it)” and give a good taste not only of what we get from the EP release on the 17th. July, but also on what the associated tour brings. Goosebumps are preprogrammed in the varied setlist, which combines band classics such as “Wild Horses” or “Silver Lining” with the new releases on the “SOLE” tour. For a whopping ten dates in Germany and Austria, the band will tour their “SOLE” EP in September with a new cast.

The tour is presented by kulturnews and MusikBlog.de.
