My’tallica’s sold-out show at Kubana in Siegburg earned full approval from the crowd. The stage was clean and uncluttered, with a live projection screen and LCD stage screens giving the performance a professional edge, despite the intimate size of the room.

My’tallica delivered a well-planned, high-energy set that ran just over two hours, covering major Metallica hits with a solid rendering. I’ll admit—I’m not usually the tribute/cover band type, but I don’t dismiss them either, depends on the quality of the tribute band. After all, Metallica tickets are neither cheap nor easy to come by, neither they tour often in Germany. For diehard fans, tribute acts can still capture the live sound thrill, and these guys clearly took their stage time seriously. The result was a show that satisfied those who came to hear their favorite Metallica songs live—complete with fist pumps, devil horns, and plenty of singalongs. Tickets went for €27 in advance and €33 at the door—a fair deal considering the quality of the show. The standing capacity of the Kubana concert room is roughly 400 people.
