Hermanos Gutiérrez – Los Ojos Del Condor Tour
Leaving behind the desert for the cosmos, Hermanos Gutiérrez present a new sound world on their Sonido Cósmico, brimming with Latin mystique and otherworldly guitar interplay that “shimmers with hallucinogenic energy” (Rolling Stone). Deep, infinite, and spiritual, the new album is an odyssey through lush musical soundscapes, imbued with the soulful heritage of Hermanos Gutiérrez, and artfully produced by Dan Auerbach.
Hermanos Gutiérrez is a Swiss-Ecuadorian instrumental music duo formed in Zürich in 2015 by brothers Alejandro Gutiérrez and Estevan Gutiérrez. Their distinct sound relies almost entirely on two guitars, weaving intricate, atmospheric melodies heavily inspired by 1950s Latin American music, desert blues, surf rock, and spaghetti western soundtracks.
- Origins: Born to a Swiss father and Ecuadorian mother, they grew up in Zürich but spent significant time in Playas, Ecuador.
- Instrumentation: Alejandro primarily handles guitar and lap steel, while Estevan plays guitar and subtle percussion.
