Escape the Fate is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, that emerged as a prominent fixture of the mid-2000s post-hardcore and emo scenes. Formed in 2004, the band has navigated significant lineup changes and stylistic shifts, transitioning from heavy post-hardcore roots toward a more melodic hard rock sound over their two-decade career.
The band’s trajectory is often divided into two primary eras based on their lead vocalists:
- The Ronnie Radke Era (2004–2008): Founded by Ronnie Radke, Max Green, and Monte Money, the band released their landmark debut album, Dying Is Your Latest Fashion (2006). Radke was fired in 2008 following legal issues and a prison sentence.
- The Craig Mabbitt Era (2008–Present): Former Blessthefall vocalist Craig Mabbitt took over in 2008, debuting on the commercially successful This War Is Ours. As of April 2026, the current lineup includes Mabbitt, long-time drummer Robert Ortiz (the only remaining founding member), and guitarists Matti Hoffman and Erik Jensen
