When Drew Baldridge’s song “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” climbed to No. 1 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart, made history as the highest-charting self-funded song ever on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. This remarkable feat not only propelled Baldridge’s career but also serves as an inspiration to anyone who believes that dreams can come true.
Baldridge followed up on the success of “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” with his new single, “Tough People” which is currently Top 20-and-climbing on the country radio charts. “Tough People” is more than just a song for Drew Baldridge—it’s a personal reflection of the real-life struggles he’s faced and the strength he’s found through them.
Baldridge has shared the stage with prominent artists such as Eric Church, Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan, and is currently on the road for Cody Johnson’s Leather Deluxe Tour and will join Bailey Zimmerman’s New to Country Tour later this year. The song’s chorus reminds listeners that “hard work pays off, good beats evil, and tough times make tough people,” thus offering a message of resilience and hope without sugarcoating the tough times that he’s encountered.
Drew Baldridge launched his first headlining tour in Europe and he had his only show in Germany at the Luxor in Cologne. CountryMusicNews.de was there. The club setting of the venue brought the artist and the audience in a close intimate setting.
After the awesome concert I had the occasion to sit down with Drew for an interview. Read the full article and interview here.
