Kasalla is a highly successful German Kölschrock band from Cologne. Formed in 2011 by singer Bastian Campmann and guitarist Florian Peil, the band is famous for performing in the local Colognian dialect (Kölsch) and has become a staple of both the German rock scene and the Cologne Carnival,
- Musical Style: A blend of rock, pop, folk, and electronic elements, characterized by the motto “Alles kann – Kölsch muss” (Anything goes – Kölsch is a must).
- Current Members: Bastian Campmann (vocals), Florian Peil (guitar), Sebi Wagner (bass), Nils Plum (drums), and René Schwiers (keyboard).
- Key Achievement: Nominated for an ECHO Award in 2018 for their album Mer sin eins, which reached #5 on the German album charts—the highest entry for a Kölsch band since BAP in 1981
