The Adicts – Adios Amigos
June 15 @ 8:00 pm
THE ADICTS have been one of the mainstays of British punk for almost 50 years. Hailing from Ipswich, UK, they combine Clockwork Orange inspired attire and punk attitude into a unique visual style that turns their live shows into the most memorable theatrical performances. Their music blends classic punk melodies and sing-along choruses that get the whole crowd jumping. With albums such as Songs of Praise and Sound of Music, they have proven that energy and fun can be eternal in punk.
Original Line-up: The band is famous for having one of the most stable line-ups in punk history, with core members Keith “Monkey” Warren (vocals), Pete Dee Davison(guitar), Mel Ellis (bass), and Michael “Kid Dee” Davison (drums) remaining together for decades.
Musical Style: Their sound is often described as “fun punk,” blending high-energy, uptempo punk rock with catchy, anthemic melodies and light-hearted lyrics.
Theatrical Live Shows: Their concerts are known for being colorful spectacles involving confetti, streamers, playing cards, and heavy audience interaction.
So yeah…ADIOS AMIGOS — but not without continuing to make history. The band will be hitting the road on their Germany tour, where they’ll unleash their full arsenal of hits, cards and magic tricks. It will be the perfect chance to sing their anthems together and raise a few beers in their honour. You’ll Never Walk Alone!
