Black Stone Cherry – The Celebrate Tour 2026
Special guest: 10 Years
For over two decades, it’s been the powerful blend of traditional hard rock influences and raw emotion that has made Black Stone Cherry so spectacular. The quartet from Edmonton, Kentucky, combines hard rock and captivating guitar riffs with contemporary energy, thrilling audiences worldwide. Since their third album, “Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea” (2011), they have achieved international chart success, which they underpin with their tireless live performances. Their upcoming German tour in September 2026 marks their third in two years, and once again they will be making a stop in almost every region of the country. Between September 10th and 30th, 2026, Black Stone Cherry will be playing seven shows in Stuttgart, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Bochum, Hamburg, and Cologne.
… It seems like the opposite of their raw, wild sound: Singer and guitarist Chris Robertson, drummer John Fred Young, bassist Jon Lawhon, and guitarist Ben Wells grew up in idyllic surroundings and founded Black Stone Cherry in 2001. They discovered their love of rock music, which runs in their blood, through their parents’ records. Drawing on classic influences like Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and AC/DC, they developed their own style. The result is straightforward, passionate, riff-driven hard rock with a Southern rock edge.
In the USA, Black Stone Cherry were invited to tour with legends like Def Leppard, Motörhead, Whitesnake, and their heroes Lynyrd Skynyrd. Live, the positive attitude and boundless enthusiasm of this musically uncompromising group are particularly striking. These successes fueled their continued dedication. All subsequent albums – “Magic Mountain” (2014), “Kentucky” (2016), “Family Tree” (2018), and “The Human Condition” (2020) – deservedly became international hits.
After the band traded their usual live recording method for meticulously crafted track-by-track recordings on their last album, Black Stone Cherry, with new bassist Steve Jewell, returned to their traditional approach for their most recent album to date, “Screamin’ at the Sky” (2023): The twelve songs were recorded live in an old theater in Kentucky. This once again underscores the immense urgency that has always characterized their live shows. In mid-April, for Record Store Day, they released “This is Black Stone Cherry’s RSD Album. The band really likes it,” a collection of B-sides, rarities, and outtakes. And if she maintains her usual work pace, we can probably expect her next studio album before her tour in September 2026. We can and should look forward to it.
10 Years is an American alternative metal and post-grunge band formed in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1999. The group is best known for their commercial breakthrough single “Wasteland,” which topped the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and was certified double-platinum by the RIAA. They are widely recognized for their atmospheric rock sound, melodic vocal hooks, and heavy guitar riffs.
