in my Canadian years snow was not a shortage, neither extreme sub zero temperatures in Calgary, Alberta. but with my travels in the americas I managed to avoid winter for exactly 10 years. it felt refreshing though. yes it's nice to have steady tropical temperatures, but winter has its own charm.
