Frankfurt downtown brought along that 'Calgary-like' feel with its modern high-rises. the 'main' river passes by downtown, more voluminous than the elbow river in Calgary but not as blue clear water. the partially rebuilt old town with some historic buildings is a short walk away, as well as the shopping area.
