The younger brother of Irish folk icon Christy Moore\, he chose his stage name in 1987 by combining the title of Suzanne Vega’s song “Luka” with Leopold Bloom\, the protagonist of James Joyce’s Ulysses. \nMusical Evolution\n\nEarly Years: Toured as Barry Moore in the 1970s before reinventing himself in New York.\nBreakthrough: Gained international acclaim with raw\, rock-infused acoustic albums like Riverside(1990) and The Acoustic Motorbike (1992).\nStyle: Merges traditional folk with unpredictable covers\, socio-political themes\, and high-energy strummin\n\nThe discography of Irish folk singer-songwriter Luka Bloom spans over four decades.
