SUMMARY:Kitty\, Daisy & Lewis
DESCRIPTION:Kitty\, Daisy & Lewis \nWhen Kitty\, Daisy\, and Lewis Durham\, three siblings from London’s Kentish Town\, play music\, they take us on a journey into the past. With their style blending swing\, blues\, country\, bluegrass\, and rock ‘n’ roll\, the trio and their band will be coming to Germany next October for eight concerts\, promising unforgettable performances and the chance to present their new album live—an album fans have been eagerly awaiting for nine long years. \nSince their self-titled debut in 2008\, Kitty\, Daisy & Lewis have skillfully bridged the decades. Their musical heroes\, influenced by music from their childhood home\, include Louis Armstrong\, Nina Simone\, Ray Charles\, Sam Cooke\, and Rufus Thomas. The album\, recorded—like all its successors—using period equipment\, features numerous interpretations of their heroes’ classics\, as well as original compositions by the siblings. The siblings are all multi-instrumentalists and create a diverse soundscape for their music through the use of instruments such as the double bass\, trombone\, accordion\, and harmonica. \nThe trio continued the international success of their debut with the albums “Smoking In Heaven” (2011)\, “The Third” (2015)\, and their most recent release\, “Superscope” (2017). In recent years\, Kitty\, Daisy & Lewis have worked relentlessly and are now known for their unique and unmistakable retro style. To ensure that this style translates exactly as they envision it on their recordings\, Lewis Durham\, the middle brother\, conceived and built Durham Sound Studio in the Camden district of London. While some of the studio’s equipment looks like it belongs in a museum\, the quality of the equipment has earned them a strong reputation. In these premises\, Lews Durham has been producing not only his own albums since 2011\, but also those of many other artists in search of a particularly warm retro sound. \nThis is one reason why fans have had to be so patient lately. While Kitty\, Daisy & Lewis have toured somewhere in the world almost every year\, new music has been conspicuously absent. Now the wait is finally over: in 2026\, after a nine-year hiatus\, their new\, currently untitled album will be released. This will be followed by an extensive European tour\, demonstrating their tremendous work ethic: Kitty\, Daisy & Lewis will play their eight German shows in Leipzig\, Hamburg\, Berlin\, Nuremberg\, Aschaffenburg\, Cologne\, Munich\, and Schorndorf without a single day off\, all within eight days.
