DESCRIPTION:JET 2026 Europe Tour\nSupport: Liquid Zoo \nJet found international popularity during the early 2000s\, a period in which the band’s mix of Exile on Main St. swagger and brash\, AC/DC-styled stomp dovetailed nicely with America’s garage rock revival. Hailing from Melbourne and comprising guitarist Cameron Muncey\, drummer Chris Cester\, bassist Mark Wilson\, and frontman Nic Cester\, the foursome formed just as the new millennium was beginning. They quickly self-released 2002’s Dirty Sweet\, a vinyl-only EP that proved to be quite popular in Australia. The EP sold out of its initial run of 1\,000 copies\, and Jet’s acclaim grew in the U.K. as they issued another limited-edition run. An American deal with Elektra surfaced in early 2003\, and the Dirty Sweet EP was released domestically that May. An opening slot for the Rolling Stones in Jet’s homeland soon followed. With buzz brewing about the band’s skuzzy\, old-fashioned hard rock\, Jet’s proper studio debut arrived in November under the title Get Born. \nWith its crisp guitars and start-stop tempos\, “Are You Gonna Be My Girl?” became a radio favorite worldwide\, and Get Born sold over three million copies as a result. Jet also received seven ARIA (Australian Record Industry Association) nominations\, six of which were awarded to the band. European dates with Oasis followed in summer 2005\, and the sophomore effort Shine On arrived in fall 2006. The band maintained a steady touring pace and contributed a song to the Spider-Man 3 soundtrack. Following a short break\, Jet reconvened in 2008 to begin work on a third album\, which arrived one year later as Shaka Rock. They toured as support for Green Day and Powderfinger\, but went on hiatus in 2010 and were fully disbanded in 2012. Jet were back in business after several years\, however\, playing headlining shows in Australia during early 2017. \nLiquid Zoo is an emerging five-piece indie/alt-rock band based in Sydney\, Australia. DESCRIPTION:Fischer-Z \nJohn Watts has amassed countless stories throughout his long career\, but 2026 marks a very special milestone for him and his band Fischer-Z: their 50th anniversary\, which they will celebrate with a tour next autumn. Founded in 1976 at Brunel University with keyboardist Steve Skolnik\, the band quickly rose to become one of the most important voices of the British post-punk era. Political songwriting\, energetic performances\, and hits like “The Worker\,” “So Long\,” and “Marliese” brought Fischer-Z international acclaim. With the album “Red Skies Over Paradise” (1981)\, the band made music history. To date\, they have sold more than two million records and played over 3\,000 concerts worldwide. Watts\, who began his artistic career after studying psychology\, can look back on a unique résumé: from early gigs in British clubs to legendary performances with Bob Marley\, The Police\, and Dire Straits. He shared the stage with James Brown in East Berlin before an audience of 167\,000 and worked in the studio with luminaries such as Peter Gabriel and Steve Cropper. Beyond music\, he has made a name for himself as a poet\, playwright\, and multimedia artist\, most recently with the project “PUNKT!”\, launching in 2025 and encompassing musical pieces as well as artwork by Watts. Now\, Fischer-Z invites fans on a journey through five decades of music: The “50 Anniversary Tour” kicks off in full in autumn 2026. Further tour stops include the Netherlands\, Belgium\, Luxembourg\, France\, Spain\, Portugal\, the UK\, and\, for the first time\, Australia. Simultaneously\, the anniversary album “50/50” will be released\, combining new songs with reinterpreted classics. This will be complemented by an exclusive anniversary package that celebrates John’s extraordinary career and offers fans a comprehensive overview of his work. “I can hardly believe it’s been 50 years already.
