DESCRIPTION:Thievery Corporation \n\n\n\n\n\nContemporary club culture\, mixed with global sound traditions and a creative approach that combines ideas from different eras: Thievery Corporation is considered kings in the field of electronic fusion music for a reason. Now they celebrate their thirtieth anniversary with an extensive tour that also takes them to Cologne\, Hamburg and Berlin. \nThe shared passion for rare vinyl finds and sounds away from the current mainstream initially brought the two DJs Rob Garza and Eric Hilton together in 1995 in Washington D.C. The common vision quickly arose to free club music from all limitations and to merge it from Brazilian bossa nova to classic Indian music with the most exciting sounds in the world. The creative\, musical collective Thievery Corporation was born. Just one year after its foundation\, the debut album was released with “Sounds From The Thievery Hi-Fi”\, which with its warm grooves provided a counter-design in the field of electronic music\, which at the time was strongly dominated by techno and house. The two Americans quickly became an internationally acclaimed electronic music duo and in the following years released records that not only redefined the boundaries of electronic music again and again\, but also confidently combined genres such as downtempo\, trip-hop\, dub\, bossa nova\, reggae\, soul or jazz. Especially the 2000 “The Mirror Conspiracy” gained great fame and led to the great breakthrough of the duo by creating an accessible sound of Latin vibes\, dub elements and beats. \nReinvention is also the right keyword for the live shows of Thievery Corporation: hardly any concert is the same\, thanks to the special approach of the duo. With a changing collective of musicians and singers\, the DJs tour the world and develop constantly changing\, immersive live performances. Hypnotic grooves and atmospheric vocals create an all-enging basic atmosphere\, in which the own sound catalog is repeatedly edited in a new way and shown by a different facet. In 2024 they toured again for the first time after a long time and played sold-out shows in Cologne and Berlin as part of it. To celebrate their thirtieth anniversary\, this summer there is once again the chance to experience this opulent production live\, when Thievery Corporation comes to Germany for three concerts in Berlin\, Cologne and Hamburg.
