SUMMARY:Billy Talent -performing “BILLY TALENT II” in full
DESCRIPTION:Performing “BILLY TALENT II” in full\nwith special guests HOLLERADO \nThis June marks the 20th anniversary of an already legendary album by one of Canada’s most famous rock bands: *Billy Talent II*\, the self-titled second record from Billy Talent.\nOriginally formed in 1993 in their hometown of Mississauga\, Ontario\, under the name Pezz\, the group—comprising Benjamin Kowalewicz (vocals)\, Ian D’Sa (guitar)\, Jonathan Gallant (bass)\, and Aaron Solowoniuk (drums)—rebranded as Billy Talent six years later. Two years after the name change\, they released their debut EP\, *Try Honesty*\, paving the way to the pantheon of alternative rock—a realm where the Canadians firmly established themselves at the very top with their internationally acclaimed debut album\, *Billy Talent*. Beyond their growing fame in their native Canada\, Germany quickly became a key market where the band rapidly built a massive audience and a loyal fan base.\nThe band shares a special connection to Germany through their second full-length album\, *Billy Talent II*: on the day of its release\, Billy Talent performed at the Hurricane Festival in Scheeßel\, celebrating the launch right there on stage. Now\, 20 years later\, the album’s anniversary is set to be celebrated in style at this year’s Hurricane Festival. The quartet is returning to Scheeßel for a headline show featuring the legendary album in full\, alongside a selection of their greatest hits. Notably\, *Billy Talent II* not only topped the German album charts but also earned the Canadian band two Echo Awards—one for “Most Successful International Newcomer” and another for “Best International Rock/Alternative Act.”\nThat same year\, the band announced that founding member Aaron Solowoniuk had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He continued to play drums for the band for many years before taking a hiatus in 2016 following a flare-up of his condition\, with Jordan Hastings stepping in to take his place. Upon announcing his diagnosis\, the former drummer founded the F.U.MS. initiative—an acronym for “Fuck You Multiple Sclerosis”—which supports young people affected by the disease through benefit concerts\, art events\, and fundraising campaigns. Billy Talent themselves frequently perform at these benefit concerts and continue to support the initiative through fundraising efforts. Fans in Germany will soon have the chance to support the initiative by attending a very special kind of concert: to celebrate the anniversary of their hit album\, the Canadian band will play two intimate club shows in Berlin and Cologne—ahead of their headline performances at the Hurricane and Southside festivals—with half of the ticket price going to F.U.MS. as a donation. After their German shows\, Billy Talent won’t be taking a break; instead\, they will head straight back to the studio to continue working on a new album. \nHollerado is an energetic Canadian indie rock and power pop band from Manotick\, Ontario. Formed in 2007\, the group is known for their DIY attitude\, hook-filled choruses\, and highly creative music videos\, the band initially disbanded in 2019\, but officially reunited in 2025 to tour and release new music

SUMMARY:Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds at Kunst!Rasen 2026
DESCRIPTION:Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1983 by lead vocalist Nick Cave\, multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey and German guitarist-vocalist Blixa Bargeld. The band has featured international personnel throughout its career and presently consists of Cave\, violinist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis\, bassist Martyn P. Casey (all from Australia)\, guitarist George Vjestica(United Kingdom)\, touring keyboardist/percussionist Larry Mullins\, also known as Toby Dammit (United States)\, and drummers Thomas Wydler (Switzerland) and Jim Sclavunos (United States). Described as “one of the most original and celebrated bands of the post-punk and alternative rock eras in the ’80s and onward”\, they have released eighteen studio albums and completed numerous international tours. \nRead the review about the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds concert in Calgary\, Canada. \n \nDiscography & Evolution\nThe band has released 18 studio albums. Their trajectory spans several decades and musical transformations:\n\nThe Early Dark Era (1980s): Albums like From Her to Eternity (1984) and Tender Prey (1988) offered raw\, atmospheric\, and abrasive rock.\nCommercial Peak & Narrative Focus (1990s): Let Love In (1994) introduced their most recognizable signature song\, “Red Right Hand” (famed as the theme for Peaky Blinders). In 1996\, they released Murder Ballads\, featuring the global hit duet “Where the Wild Roses Grow” with Kylie Minogue.\nThe Piano Ballad Shift: The Boatman’s Call (1997) moved away from violent narratives into minimalist\, deeply personal love songs and spiritual introspections.\nThe Modern/Elegiac Era (2010s–Present): Teaming heavily with Warren Ellis\, the band crafted critically adored ambient masterpieces like Push the Sky Away (2013)\, Skeleton Tree (2016)\, and Ghosteen(2019). Their newest full-band studio effort\, Wild God\, was released in August 2024 to massive critical acclaim.

SUMMARY:Massendefekt - Release Show
DESCRIPTION:Massendefekt – Release Show \n\nWith their new\, self-titled album “MASSENDEFEKT” (VÖ: 11.09.2026)\, the band deliberately relies on departure instead of looking back. The work does not see itself as a nostalgic anniversary album or best-of\, but as a clear statement for the here and now. Produced mostly on its own\, the band presents itself more directly and unfiltered than ever. In terms of content\, MASS DEFECTs move between cohesion\, self-reflection and a clear attitude – unequivocally against Nazis\, racism\, sexism and homophobia. \n“There was no big master plan for production this time. We just wanted to make the songs we really feel like doing ourselves – and that’s exactly why the record feels so multifaceted.” \nThe album also visually underlines its claim: The artwork unites the four band members into a common face and thus symbolizes 25 years of cohesion and joint development. Michael Czernicki was responsible for mixing and mastering. \nAs a special highlight\, a strictly limited double vinyl appears. In addition to the regular album\, it contains reinterpretations of MASSENDEFEKT songs\, implemented by friendly bands and long-time companions. The participating artists will be announced gradually. \nParallel to the album\, MASSENDEFEKT will take to the streets from October with their anniversary tour “25 LIVE”. The tour combines songs from all band phases and shows exactly what MASSENDEFEKT has stood for live for years: direct energy\, clear edge and a close connection to the audience. An exclusive tour support will be announced. \nA special highlight is the big closing concert on 12.12.2026 at the Düsseldorf steelworks. Not only does the “25 LIVE” tour end there – at the same time the band also celebrates the 15th anniversary of their double album “Tangodiesel” this evening. Two milestones in the band’s history in one evening. \n“25 years of MASS DEFECT\, ten albums – and in the end this record contains exactly what has always made us as a band: friendship\, attitude and the desire to be on the road together.”

SUMMARY:CAKE
DESCRIPTION:CAKE \nFans of the American\, genre-defying band Cake have had to wait 15 years for a new album – but the wait is finally coming to an end this year! This fall\, the group\, fronted by lead singer John McCrea\, will release their ninth studio album. Anyone encountering Cake for the first time will have to discard all conventional expectations of the band. Founded in California in 1991\, the group has been breaking all norms since their breakthrough album “Fashion Nugget” in 1996\, consistently bringing a refreshing breath of new life. Genre classifications and clear musical influences are nowhere to be found in Cake’s music – from alternative and indie to funk\, country\, and ska\, everything and nothing finds its way into the band’s experimental sound. Instead of the usual lead guitar\, Cake often features prominent trumpets in their arrangements\, which\, especially on stage\, create special moments with various solos throughout their sets. From the outset\, the band has also been highly critical of its own industry – the laconic spoken-word vocals\, often prominent in the sometimes minimalist arrangements\, are usually dripping with irony and highly critical of society. The same can be expected from the upcoming album\, whose songs “Hold You (Responsible)” and “Billionaire in Space” have already been released.

SUMMARY:Band Of Horses - European Tour 2026
DESCRIPTION:Band Of Horses – European Tour 2026 \nBand of Horses on their “Everything All The Time” anniversary tour this fall \nRight at the beginning of the 2000s\, there was a sense of unease in the air. Between digital revolution and personal overwhelm\, a generation searched for words to describe feelings that were difficult to put into words. Band of Horses found these words and translated them into music that was expansive yet deeply personal. Ben Bridwell’s songs told of change\, loss\, and the attempt to bring order to one’s life. His high\, distinctive voice floated above strummed guitars like a distant light that didn’t guide the way but offered hope. \nTheir debut album\, “Everything All The Time\,” was released in 2006 on Sub Pop—the legendary Seattle label that reinvented itself after grunge and once again became the premier destination for independent music. In retrospect\, it’s hardly surprising that Jonathan Poneman signed them immediately. Even “The Funeral” possessed a unique magic: a song about loss and acceptance that managed to be both intimate and universal. As an underground hit\, a catchy jingle in commercials\, and a film song\, it grew into an emotional touchstone and is still celebrated today as a quiet manifesto on how to live with the inevitable. \nIn the following years\, the band refined their sound\, blending indie rock\, folk\, and Southern influences\, releasing six studio albums and even earning a Grammy nomination with “Infinite Arms.” Despite changing lineups\, Band of Horses has always remained\, at its core\, Bridwell’s project: music full of longing\, doubt\, and cautious hope. Their most recent work\, “Things Are Great” (2022)\, returned to a rawer sound reminiscent of their early days—less polished\, closer to the rawest wounds. \nThese songs truly come alive live. On stage\, they become collective moments\, shared breaths between band and audience. Ancient hymns swell into epic arcs\, quiet pieces transform concert halls into fleeting spaces of contemplation. For Band of Horses\, tours have never been mere obligations\, but rather continuations of their narrative: on the road\, ever onward\, ever anew. In 2026\, this journey takes on a special significance. “Everything All The Time” celebrates its 20th anniversary – and “The Funeral” shines once again as its centerpiece. In the autumn of 2026\, Band of Horses will come to Germany for four concerts. These are evenings that promise to reconcile memory and the present.

SUMMARY:Sixpence None The Richer
DESCRIPTION:For a whole generation of 90s couples it is probably the love song: Sixpence None The Richer enchanted millions of fans with their world hit “Kiss Me” – and are now more consolidated\, matured and with unbroken energy back. \nThe band was founded by singer Leigh Nash and guitarist Matt Slocum\, who met in New Braunfels\, Texas\, before moving together to Nashville – in the heart of the US music scene. After the entry of drummer Dale Baker\, they recorded their 1994 debut album “The Fatherless and The Widow”. Her unmistakable combination of driving indie rock and introspective songwriting quickly found enthusiastic fans. Only one year later\, the second album “This Beautiful Mess” was released\, and in 1997 bassist Justin Cary completed the fixed quartet after a few changes. At the latest with their self-titled album and the accompanying single “Kiss Me” they achieved their international breakthrough: The song was nominated for a Grammy\, conquered the US singles charts thanks to the cult RomCom “She’s All That” (known in Germany under the title “Eine wie keine”)\, and so far has over 1.2 billion Spotify streams. A world hit that lasts to this day. In 1999\, the band followed up with their cover version of “There She Goes” (The La’s)\, which became their second worldwide hit single. After label-related delays\, “Divine Discontent” was finally released in 2002\, for the first time with drummer Rob Mitchell\, who replaced Dale Baker. In order to devote themselves to solo projects\, Sixpence None The Richer initially broke up in 2004. But already in 2007 they found each other again and released “The Dawn of Grace” (2008) and “Lost in Translation” (2012)\, before it calmed down again around the band. In October 2024\, their acclaimed comeback EP “Rosemary Hill” followed – twelve years after the last release. At the same time\, they returned to the stage with a major US tour for the 25th anniversary – in the original cast with Leigh Nash\, Matt Slocum\, Dale Baker and Justin Cary. In October 2026\, the German audience can finally rejoice: At four exclusive concerts\, Sixpence None The Richer will prove that they are better than ever 25 years after their foundation.

SUMMARY:Future Palace - Deep Blue Tour 2026
DESCRIPTION:Future Palace – Deep Blue Tour 2026 \nGuest: Future Palace\, As Everything Unfolds \nFuture Palace from Berlin has been proving for years that post-hardcore does not have to be a label with borders\, but is a room full of possibilities. In the music of singer Maria Lessing\, guitarist Manuel Kohlert and drummer Johannes Früchtenicht\, the most angry outbursts of despair against the quietest moments of resignation\, rich instrumentals meet epochal electronic productions\, brand-shaking screams contrast with supporting melody. \nWith their always twisty artistic disposition\, Future Palace symbolizes the ups and downs of human life\, which always form the central themes in their songs. The band creates intensive insights into the shallows of inner struggles and talks about topics of mental health that are still far too taboo in society. \nIn recent years\, Future Palace has developed into one of the most exciting alternative metal acts in Europe\, driven by their intense live energy and an ever-growing international fan base. Their latest North America tour marked the band’s first great adventure across the Atlantic\, received enthusiastic reviews and significantly expanded their global reach. In Europe\, their last headline tour set new standards\, with numerous sold-out and highly spent shows. \nNow Future Palace is breaking a new chapter: With Deep Blue\, the title of their new single. In 2026\, they will set off for their most extensive headline tour yet. The Deep Blue Tour includes 29 shows in 15 countries and expands their presence in Europe more than ever before. They are accompanied by As December Falls and Luna Kills. \nWith a steadily growing catalog\, increasing streaming numbers and a globally expanding fan base\, Future Palace is entering its most ambitious phase to date.

SUMMARY:The Lemonheads
DESCRIPTION:The Lemonheads \nThe Lemonheads returned in 2025 with Love Chant (out via Fire Records\, October 24th)\, their first studio album in nearly two decades – a bold\, melodic reaffirmation of Evan Dando’s singular songwriting voice. Written across continents and recorded primarily in São Paulo\, Brazil\, where Dando now resides\, Love Chant finds the frontman reconnecting with longtime collaborators while introducing new creative voices. It’s a record of fresh starts and familiar sounds – emotionally raw\, melodically rich\, and unmistakably Lemonheads. \nThe new album features contributions from J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr)\, Juliana Hatfield\, Tom Morgan\, Bryce Goggin\, Erin Rae\, and Nick Saloman of The Bevis Frond. It’s a diverse but coherent work – from the full-throttle hooks of “Deep End” to the spectral softness of “The Key Of Victory\,” and the Modern Lovers-like drive of the title track. Co-released alongside Dando’s forthcoming memoir Rumours Of My Demise (via Faber\, November 6th)\, Love Chant marks both a return and a reckoning – the sound of an artist who’s lived\, lost\, and located the thread once again. \nFormed in Boston in 1986\, The Lemonheads have long thrived on that intersection between chaos and charm. With a revolving cast built around Dando’s melodic instincts and ragged charisma\, their early punk roots were forged across three scrappy albums on local label Taang! before signing to Atlantic Records and releasing 1990’s Lovey. It was on tour for that record in Australia where Dando connected with Tom Morgan and future bandmate Nic Dalton – a meeting that reshaped the band’s songwriting and sound. \nTheir commercial breakthrough came with 1992’s It’s A Shame About Ray and 1993’s Come On Feel The Lemonheads\, both records that married punk energy with melodic pop\, and established Dando as one of alternative rock’s most compelling figures. National TV appearances followed\, and so did the tabloid glare – by the late ’90s\, the music sometimes took a backseat to Dando’s unpredictable\, chaotic public persona. He disbanded The Lemonheads in 1997 following a turbulent performance at Reading Festival. \nIn 2003\, he released his acclaimed solo album Baby I’m Bored – quieter and more introspective\, it hinted at a new phase. But it wasn’t long before The Lemonheads were reborn. In 2006\, a self-titled album marked a head-on collision of wordy ’70s punk and cosmic country\, followed by Varshons (2009) and Varshons 2 (2019)\, two mixtape-like collections of cover versions that spanned Townes Van Zandt to GG Allin\, Leonard Cohen to The Bevis Frond – always with the same emotional clarity and melodic magnetism that defines Dando’s output. \nOver the years\, The Lemonheads’ shape has shifted – Descendents\, Dinosaur Jr\, Blake Babies and members of Fuzzy have all passed through the ranks – but at its core has always been Dando’s songwriting: wry\, vulnerable\, catchy\, and true. With Love Chant\, that core burns brightly once more. \nRecent years have only deepened the band’s influence. Artists like Courtney Barnett\, Waxahatchee\, Phoebe Bridgers and MJ Lenderman cite The Lemonheads as touchstones\, covering their songs and praising their emotional candor and melodic economy. \nAs Record Collector noted\, “The Lemonheads have always been recognised as purveyors of grade-A pop punk.” Or\, in Rolling Stone’s words: “Few bands have been able to walk the line between the angst of grunge and the warmth of folk quite as elegantly as The Lemonheads.”
