Korn’s influence transcends awards and platinum records. They represent radical innovation. Their ability to cross genres makes barriers irrelevant. \nKorn (often stylized as KoЯn) is an American band from Bakersfield\, California\, widely credited with pioneering and popularizing the nu metal genre. Formed in 1993\, the band is known for its heavy\, down-tuned seven-string guitars\, dark and emotional lyrics\, and a distinctive sound that blends metal with elements of hip-hop and industrial rock. \nCurrent Lineup:\n\nJonathan Davis: Lead vocals and bagpipes.\nJames “Munky” Shaffer: Rhythm guitar and backing vocals.\nBrian “Head” Welch: Lead guitar and backing vocals (rejoined in 2013).\nReginald “Fieldy” Arvizu: Bass (currently on hiatus for personal reasons since 2021).\nRay Luzier: Drums (joined in 2007\, replacing founding member David Silveria).\n\nAlthough no title or date is official\, members have hinted at a “darker\, more stripped-back” sound for their upcoming 15th record.
