Giron is another colonial town listed on the national heritage list of Colombia. It was on my way with a planned overnight stop so might as well shot some frames. The colonial town centre is part of the big amalgam of Bucaramanga and its like a miniature colonial oasis in the big city. The weather is hot and dusty and the architecture is black and white. According to a local I asked about it ‘because it’s colonial’. Sure, whatever. It’s okay to visit if it’s in your route, but not sure if it’s more than lukewarm destination, beside the weather. I felt that a few hours of wondering with the camera was sufficient. The main plaza was loaded with people until late Sunday evening and the heat held up until the middle of the night. So because it’s basically black and white everything around here I just killed the colours in my photos as well.
