Lots of colourful things to take photos around here. Not sure how much of it goes under the ‘tradition’ or under ‘things tourists might buy’ category. ‘A tradition is a belief, behaviour, legends, customs passed down within a group or society with symbolic meaning or special significance with origins in the past; especially by word of mouth or by practice.’ It started sometime down the road in history and now this is considered the Ecuadorian tradition. Most of it is Spanish influenced over time and part of it is manufactured in Asia. So how many generations have to pinch in in order to call it tradition? Good question, isn’t it?
