The first thing about Tatacoa it’s the heat. Thermometer shoots up to 45C during the day and ‘cools’ down to about 34C inside the van during the night. It’s brutal if you are coming from the cool highlands.  We endured two nights before we drove off. First night the full moon peaked out and stayed out all night, making everything look like we’re on theMoon or Mars, I guess, as never been on the Moon actually. The desert-like landscape is a large area but the photogenic flash-flood created Bryce Canyon like area itself is not that extensive; still large enough to come out with some cool photos from there.

Almost as a daylight photo, but it’s the full moon there.
